A view of the weak (by Churchill standards) aurora display on Feb 4, 2019 as seen from the second floor deck at the Churchill Northern Studies Centre, to show the type of aurora that is almost always present, even under Kp 1 conditions as it was this night. This wasn’t even worth getting the group up for, as they had seen much better displays earlier in the week. This also shows the classic faint red glow at the top of the curtains from atomic oxygen.
