The Northern Lights from at sea when leaving the Lofoten Islands, Norway heading toward the mainlaind, from Stamsund to Bodo, March 3, 2019. This was from the Hurtigruten ship the ms Trollfjord. Taurus is setting in the west at left; Auriga and Capella are at upper left. This is looking north. This display was with a Kp Index of only 1 or 2 and was active and bright only briefly around midnight.
The orange horizon glow is light pollution from the city lights back on the Lofoten Islands.
This is a single 2-second exposure for at f/2 with the 15mm Venus Optics lens and Sony a7III at ISO 6400.
