Colouful Auroral Arc Panorama (Feb 14, 2024)
Colourful Kp1 Auroral Arc Panorama (Feb 14, 2024).jpg
A colourful auroral arc with a Kp1 level aurora, on a moonlit night. Despite the weak aurora this night, the arc exhbited a good range of colours, with shades of green and red blending to make orange and yellow. The arc illustrates the classic curve of the auroral oval, centred on the North Geomagnetic Pole, here due north at centre. The waxing crescent Moon is in the southwest behind the Centre.
