A scene of stargazers and astrophotographers enjoying the night sky at the annual Southern Alberta Star Party in the Cypress Hills of southeast Alberta, Canada.

This was a very clear night, September 3, 2024. The location is the Whispering Pines Camp, which has small cottages for accommodation around the main observing field.

The camera is looking northeast to the rising autumn Milky Way in Perseus (at centre) and Cassiopeia (at top). The Andromeda Galaxy is at upper right. The bright star at bottom is Capella in Auriga. Some green airglow colours the sky.

This is a single untracked 30-second exposure with the Viltrox 16mm lens at f/2 on the Nikon Z6III at ISO 1600.
