Aurora Exiting Trollfjord
Aurora Exiting Trollfjord (Norway 2024).jpg
A band of green Northern Lights appears above the entrance to the narrow Trollfjord in Lofoten Islands of Norway, as our Hurtigruten ferry ship, the m/s Nordkapp exits the fjord at night by searchlight. This was November 10, 2024 at midnight after departing the port of Svolvaer.
The sail into Trollfjord is part of Hurtigruten's coastal ferry cruise but is not always possible due to wind and ice conditions. This night was still and clear.
This is a 1/6-second exposure at f/1.8 with the Nikkor 20mm lens and Nikon Z6III at ISO 1600. Taken from the bow viewing area of Deck 5.
