The Andromeda Galaxy at centre is rising above the mountainside with Takakkaw Falls, in Yoho National Park, British Columbia. Above is the W of stars marking Cassiopeia. Below Cassiopeia is the Double Cluster of stars.

This was on a perfect night July 14/15, 2024. While the quarter Moon was up earlier in the night, by the time I shot these frames at 1:30 am the Moon had set and the sky was fully dark, at least as dark as it can get in mid-July at this latitude. The ground is lit only by starlight. The long exposures bring out the details. No light painting was employed.

Technical:
This is a blend of tracked (for the sky) and untracked (for the ground) exposures:
- A stack of 3 x 3-minutes for the ground
- A stack of 2 x 2 minutes for sky
All at f/2 with the Nikkor 20mm S lens on the Nikon Z6III at ISO 800, on the MSM Nomad tracker. Adobe DeNoise AI applied to the ground frames; NoiseXTerminator applied to the sky frames. I made no attempt to completely eliminate, only reduce, the dark "shadows" from the blurred trees in the tracked sky frames.
