Waxing Moon in Prairie Sunset (July 7, 2024).jpg
The two-day-old crescent Moon sits in the sunset twilight sky over a wheatfield in southern Alberta. The sky is painted with the gradient of twilight colours from red to blue, and with subtle crepuscular rays diverging from the sunset point. These are shadows cast perhaps by the distant Rocky Mountains or by clouds over the mountains.
This is an HDR blend of 7 exposures, from short for the sky, to long for the ground. With the Canon RF 24-105mm lens on the Canon R5. Taken from near home on July 7, 2024.
