Magenta Aurora from Home (May 11, 2023).jpg
A dim green and magenta aurora with faint pillars to the north on the night of May 11/12, 2023, on a Kp4 level night with warnings out but nothing much came of them this night. The Milky Way is running parallel to the horizon here. The vertical pillars were just viisble to the naked eye. Cassiopeia is at left; Cygnus at right.
This is a single 15-second exposure at f/2.8 with the Canon RF15-35mm lens at 26mm on the Canon R5 at ISO 1600.
