About 1000 people gathered at the Rothney Observatory near Calgary for the July 23, 2016 stargazing night, under very clear skies on a warm summer night. Moonlight did light the sky but good views of lots of celestial sights were had by all. People enjoy just lying back on the grass and gazing skyward.
