Harvest Moon rising on September 10, 2003 over southern Alberta field. Moon visible thru slight hole in low clouds near horizon (retreating storm clouds).

Taken with Pentax 6x7 camera with 165mm lens at f/4 on Ektachrome 100SW 120-format slide film. Exposure about 6 seconds. Fixed camera on tripod. Ground was fairly dark. Colors enhanced somehwat in Photoshop. Scanned with Nikon 8000ED scanner at 8x sampling, SuperFine mode, and Digital ICE dust reduction.

Image can be cropped to area around the Moon and still look quite good, at least for reproduction small on printed page.
