Filters ON! When the Sun emerged filters were finally needed for seeing the eclipse.
On May 20, 2012, TELUS Spark and members of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada presented a "partial eclipse party" on the sidewalk in front of the science centre, looking westward to the evening sky and eclipsed Sun. Skies cleared well enough to allow good views of the last 3/4s of the eclipse.
