Messier 37 star cluster in Auriga, the richest of the trio of Auriga Messier clusters. Taken Oct 14, 2007. This is an old image but it stands up well. Therre is a version without and with diffraction spikes for artistic effect.

Technical:
Taken with the 5-inch Astro-Physics apo refractor at f/6 with Canon 20Da at ISO 800 for a stack of 4 x 8 minute exposures. Some haze. Used PHDGuide and Meade DSI for autoguiding. Reprocessed in 2025.
