The summer Milky Way from the Rothney Astrophysical Observatory, near Calgary, Alberta, at the July 22, 2017 Milky Way Night for public stargazing. Saturn is in the Dark Horse at right. The sky was clear enough to show Messier 6 and 7 star clusters just above the horizon, and the Sagittarius Star Cloud, all low in the sky from this latitude of 51° N.

This is a single untracked exposure of 10 seconds with the Sigma 20mm lens at f/2 and Nikon D750 at ISO 3200.
