Aurora from Home Panorama #1 (Oct 20, 2023).jpg
A panorama of the aurora of Oct 20, 2023, at tthe start of the evening, taken from home in southern Alberta. It shows a classic sunlit pink/blue ray at left. This was at 8 pm MDT with some evening twilight still lighting the sky. The aurora went on to colour much of the sky and with a broad homogenous arc across the entire northern sky, depicted in Panorma #2 from this night.
The Big Dipper and Ursa Major are at left; Jupiter and the Pleiades are rising at right.
This is a stitch of 5 segments, each with the 15mm Laowa lens at f/2 and the Canon R6 at ISO 2500, for 15 seconds each. Stitched in Adobe Camera Raw.
