The major aurora show of May 10, 2024 seen here in twilight and in a partly cloudy sky, but with curtains still showing up and with green and pink. This serves to illlustrate how during a major storm the aurora can be seen even in twilight and amid some clouds.

This is looking east, from home in southern Alberta, Canada. Arcturus is at upper right; Vega at lower left.

This was at the start of the night, at 10:30 pm MDT, using the Canon R at ISO 800 and 11mm TTArstisan full-frame fish-eye lens at f/2.8 for 15 seconds. A second camera with the 15mm Laowa lens is at right.
