Shooting the Aurora over Old Barn #1 (June 7-8, 2014).jpg
An all-sky aurora with green and purple curtains, the night of June 7-8, 2014, starting up about 12:30 and going until dawn. This shot was near its peak, from the old barn site near home in southern Alberta. The purple colour is partly from blue scatttered sunlight hitting the red tops of the auroral curtains. The Big Dipper is above the Barn. This was with the 10-22mm lens at f/4 for 15 seconds at ISO 3200 with the Canon 60Da. It includes the tripod and camera that was taking other shots at the same time.
