NGC 5189 Spiral Planetary (4in f6 20Da, No FF).jpg
NGC 5189 , the odd-looking "Spiral Planetary" in Musca. It is quite small on this scale, but it is one of the finest planetary nebulas in the sky visually in any telescope, but especially in large apertures.
Technical:
Taken with the 4-inch Astro-Physics refractor at f/6 without the field flattener (I have no idea why I would not have used the AP Field Flattener!) and with APS-frame size Canon 20Da camera at ISO400 for stack of 4 x 10 minute exposures. Shot from Coonabarabran, Australia, March 23, 2007. Reprocessed in 2025.
