The rising gibbous Moon 2 nights before the total lunar eclipse at pre-dawn Oct 8, 2014. This was off the back deck as the setting Sun lit the clouds. The dark blue band above the horizon is the shadow of the Earth that the Moon will enter tomorrow night.
