Mars & Neptune in Close Conjunction (Jan 19, 2015) Labels.jpg
Mars (at top) in conjunction with Neptune (the faint blue star at 2 o’clock from Mars) on January 19, 2015. The brighter star below Mars is Sigma Aquarii. Mars and Neptune were 13 arc minutes apart, less than 1/4 degree. This is a stack of 4 x 30-second exposures with the Canon 6D at ISO 400 and through the TMB 92mm apo refractor at f/5.5.
