The star cluster M35 in Gemini with the smaller cluster NGC 2158. Taken Oct 14, 2007. This is an aolder image but it stands up well. There is a version without and with diffraction spikes added for artistic effect.

Technical:
Taken with the 5-inch Astro-Physics apo refractor at f/6 with Canon 20Da at ISO 800 for a stack of 3 x 8 minute exposures. Some haze. Used PHDGuide and Meade DSI for autoguiding. Reprocessed in 2025.
