Venus & Pleiades (April 2, 2012).jpg
Venus below the Pleiades, M45, on April 2, 2012, the night before closest approach to the cluster. This is a single long exposure for 30 seconds at ISO 1000 with the Canon 5D MkII on the Astro-Physics 130mm f/6 with the field flattener. Internal reflection in the camera caused the odd reddish and squarish halo around Venus.
