Sunrise on the day of summer solstice, June 20, 2024, a day earlier than usual as 2024 was a Leap Year. The Sun was rising at its most northerly point on the eastern horizon this day, though the direction is not apparent here. A faint light pillar is visible above the Sun.

This is a 7-exposure HDR blend to retain the bright sky and still bring out the otherwise dark ground. Blended with Adobe Camera Raw. Taken as part of a panorama to depict the rise points of the Sun and Moon this day. I applied a mild level of Sky Enhancer and Glow filters with Luminar Neo.
