NGC 884 Double Cluster and IC Nebulas (Bino Field-135mm).jpg
This frames the Double Cluster (NGC 869 and NGC 884) at lower right in Perseus and the IC nebulas in Cassiopeia. The field includes IC 1805 and IC 1848, the Heart and Sul Nebulas, and the NGC 896 nebula. The cluster NGC 957 is left of the Double Cluster.
The 9º by 6º field of the 135mm telephoto lens used simulates the field of view of binoculars.
Technical:
Taken Sept. 14, 2007 for stack of 4 x 4 minute exposures with 135mm L-series lens at f/2.8 and Canon 20Da camera at ISO 800. Reprocessed in 2025.
