Star trails over Las Campanas Observatory, Chile. Taken Nov 1994 on eclipse trip. Taken with Plaubel Makina 6x7 rangefinder camera, Exposure about 4 hours, lens stopped down to f/8, ISO 100 film, though still grainy by today's standard. Left observatory is U. of Toronto's 24-inch, now removed from this site and in Argentina. Scope at right is 40-inch Swope telescope. Lights are from tour group people observing, with tour bus beside U of T scope.
