NGC 884 Double Cluster in Perseus (5in f6 20Da).jpg
The Double Cluster in Perseus, NGC 869 and NGC 884, taken October 14, 2007. This is an old image but it nicely records the cluster's coloured stars and mix of blue and yellow giant stars. There are versions without and with diffraction spikes added for artistic effect.
Technical:
Taken with the 5-inch Astro-Physics apo refractor at f/6 with Canon 20Da at ISO 800 for a stack of 4 x 8 minute exposures. Some haze. Used the ST402 for autoguiding.
