This is the small magnitude 7.8 globular cluster Messier 70 in southern Sagittarius, in a rich area of the Milky Way. It was discovered by Charles Messier in 1780, along with M69. They are among the smallest and faintest targets in the Messier Catalogue.

This is a stack of 5 x 5 minute exposures with the Askar APO120 refractor at f/7 and Canon Ra at ISO 1600. Taken from the Quailway Cottage in Arizona in October 2024.
